Except they are ramping up faster than market can provide.
I'm starting to see games that due to sheer size would mandate it to be installed on a spinny drive but the installer outright refuses to install if you don't put it on a SSD, and soon some might require it must be a NVMe drive.
I would have expected that 10-20TB drives would be dirt cheap when 1TB SSDs became affordable, but right now, SSD is just about twice as expensive for available SSD sizes, and larger spinny drives command outrageous prices, and worthless for a gamer because, again, now games are requiring 120GB+ of storage AND somehow are having a throughput of over 600MB/s somehow even with perceptible load times. What the fuck are they loading, the original Bee Movie RAW render frames as rendered by a Silicon Graphics workstation?
