Lately I've been getting various pop-up ads, all very similar, it pops up with an address of any number of phony-looking sites telling me to download Chrome (in one instance "Chorme") or Flash or whatever, when I click on the x, it takes me to the page anyway!

Don't bother clicking the x, it never works. Just close the entire tab, and if it won't let you do that, open up Task Manager and force it to close.
As for why I'm here, I've been getting the Scorecard Research shit again:
I see, thanks, I'll do that if I encounter them again.

Getting tired of these autoplaying ads. Especially the Spanish ones.

I often use KYM on my iPod. However, recently there have been these car ads, I think for Kia, that have been appearing at the bottom of the page and "sticking" so if I scroll down, it follows. I get pretty annoyed when this happens on other websites (looking at you, Wikia), and it doesn't seem like something it shouldn't be happening here. I tried getting a screenshot, but the don't show up often.
Anyone else getting these?

Wait, here's one:
…Autoplaying VIDEO ads should just not be.
The reason for this is that for those like me who have no choice but to use a pay as you go connection, they, like all videos, just eat through data allowance like nothing else.
I don't want to have to pay a significant amount within a week jsut because of these goddamn ads.

They aren't actually supposed to be happening, hence this thread.
…I was just talking about them in general. They do crop up on other sites, and unlike KYM the ads are not always at the top of the page, giving them time to start buffering…
Oh right, sorry.
In that case, I'm with you 100%
So someone already mentioned this in its own unneccesary thread, but HOLY HELL THE DISNEY ADS! WHY WON'T THEY STOP?!

The GameCentral video ads are kind of fucking up my browser when I'm on a school desktop.
I go on Cheezburger on my iPhone and I keep randomly getting redirected to the App Store. I don't mind banner ads, but being redirected to download Candy Crush or some animal saga game. Nup. Yes. I could go on my laptop, but tbh I can't be arsed! Why have an app and a smartphone friendly site when this keeps happening every 30 seconds!?
Mostly a rant, but assistance/advice would be appreciated :)
Alright, so every other page literally has some auto-playing ad now and some of them aren't even advertising anything. (For example the most recent one was some people doing a movie review.) I'm really tired of these because they usually start when I'm about 10 seconds into a youtube video and some of them you can't stop. I really don't want to do this, but if this isn't under control soon I'm going to install ad-block because this is just overly annoying. If I open up multiple tabs of KYM, then often I'll have 3 or 4 ads playing at the same time. Sorry guys, but this is horrible for the users.
It might be because of a combination Adblocker Plus and the Don't Track Me programs I have, but I myself have not encountered such problems here. But if all the other users here are experiencing this problem then I believe it's high time for the site to fix this dilemma. Besides, we have enough to deal with from the spambots and trolls here, the last thing we need is intrusive ads joining in on "the fun".
@The Stare Master: Honestly, that's what this thread is supposed to be for: Reporting all of those.
On the other hand, I'm actually with you on this. There's way too many to manually report them all and they're a bitch to track down anyway, they seem to appear from nowhere and I can't even find the ad causing it sometimes, even if I locate the right tab! And that makes me realize those fail even as advertisements…

Who even handles the ads anymore? I can't remember ever getting an autoplay ad on a different cheezeburger site and it seems like we should have the same advert system as them.

just got an autoplay for the Marines on the Xbox videos page
Autoplays have become so common now. It's ridiculous. The real surprising thing here is I just noticed chrome has been auto blocking popups for me. (ad link) What's next getting malware on KYM???
Alright, now the auto-plays are about to completely piss me off. This is outta hand here. 3 on one page.
Okay, now I've got one on EVERY page demanding that I download Flash (it's a phony of course), it also wipes it out the back button history thing too…
This REALLY needs to be sorted, I have to mash Escape on loading a page just to not get booted out of it!
^The above is happening again, there are two pages doing that, one is download.adobeoo.com and I don't remember the other.
Same again, this time it's download.adoboeo.com and it was even DOWNLOADING FILES ONTO MY COMPUTER whenever the malicious tab was open long enough!
Said files tested positive for some kind of malware in MalwareBytes!
And it's damn persistent, I can barely browse the site at all, I'll have to consider AdBlock if this continues, I really don't want to rob you guys of the revenue but this just can't keep going on…
Now it's http://download.adoboa.com/
Honestly, how many times is this going to keep happening?
http://download.adobend.com/ now

Oh god not fucking world of tanks.

There was one instance of someone getting malware earlier in the thread.
Bad luck Cute Master:
>go to adblock meme page.
>get bombarded by an almost full screen pop up ad.
Guess that's what I get for buying transitions products though. And at least this one's new.
Also, there were at least 4 frames on the side for videos, although only one of them was actually auto-playing them. (I guess the others hadn't loaded yet, because they were empty black frames.) I think the "Movie Clip" auto play ads are fine since it at least mutes the volume of the ad by default, but these others are just kinda obnoxious.
I've noticed, since the creation of this thread, that the ads have become more aggressive, which makes me think that we are on the end of a hacker/troll attack. As above said, I went to the adblock page, got swarmed by pop ups, autoplays, and new tabs.
So I decided to open up one of these popups that chrome keeps blocking to see what I could find out.
Once I opened, it opened a "flash player" auto downloaded itself to my computer.
I'm guessing this is some of the same flash stuff people are seeing on their phones since phones generally don't block popups.
Now, coincidentally I had gotten this on the previous page I was on.
No, I did not have tubemovieshd open in another browser, but I tried to track it down and it turned out to be one of the advertisements at the bottom of the page. This ties into the previous ad because when I went to check the page source to track down that popup, tubemovieshd was listed under an iframe with a source from that http://lax1.ib.adnxs.com/(a bunch of random letters). Edit: Which seems to be the common offending domain.
Hopefully this information will help track down some of this scum ad. Hopefully.
Is anybody else getting these rouge downloads? Because it happened again today. Just switched from the forums main page to the Pony General and BOOM! Instant crapware download.

Okay, this has been going on a while now but I've been putting it off because of how many reports I'd been making here.
This is something specific to browsing on my Android phone (Chrome on a Samsung Galaxy S4 if it's relevant) , I get a pop up leading to a phony download with deleting my last page on the back button (similar to those Flash scams on the proper computer), this one's a fake App Store update from "lovelinks.us". Not sure how different things are on mobile phones but this definitely needs fixing.

The fuck is this shit down at the bottom? This is appearing even though I have Adblock.

what is this crap
It's even getting me WITH my adblock on!
It's hiding at the bottom even though I hit the X…It must be some sort of NSA advertisement in camouflage!
That's because it's not coded like an ad. Apparently "Today is the day we act.". Something similar to the internet blackout event a couple of years back. Looks like Reddit, Mozilla, Tumblr, and a few others are on board. This could be a widespread internet (spam) event we're looking at here. Don't worry. It will go away soon.
Edit: Oh! And we even have a frontpage article. [linky-linky]

See, this is why I downloaded Adblock years ago. Yeah I know it COMPLETELY screws over websites that depend on Ad Revenue but I'm sorry when popups start destroying my expensive as hell computer that's when I have to tell them to fuck off.
Alright. I'm having a giant problem where autoplay ads are playing ALL AT THE SAME TIME. It's getting extremely annoying as hell and it's doing nothing for the advertisers. They're usually just cleaning and health ads. It's getting out of hand, and I might have to get ad-block soon. It's something I don't want to do since I want this site to have revenue on ads. But it's getting way too ridiculous how many ads are playing.

At this point it's just "Why aren't you using ad-block?" I've gotten so fed up I finally installed it. Obviously if they wanted the ad revenue from us regulars, they'd fix it. Cheezburger has an article up saying they are "looking into it" on their FAQs, but that article has said "updated today" everyday for over a year now. I blame them for crappy tracking spam ads.
Yeah…I hate autoplay ads. Hated it so much, I made a comic about how good it feels to block them after months of torment from them.

I've been getting those bottom-of-the-page Kia ads on mobile again, and yes, they are still messing with the way the image galleries work. Basically once they show up I can't simply tap on something to open it, I have to hold it and get it to open via the "Open" option that pops up. This happens even if I close out of them. I think it also makes the page auto-scroll back up to the top of the page when it does end up loading.

Seriously. This is happening on every page on this website.
Please make it stop. :(

Now these Mazda ads are doing the same thing:
Is there a way to tell advertisers not to use this kind of ad?
When ever I go here on my ipad, an ad for some candy game thing keeps sending me to the App Store. In fact, while typing this, I got sent to the App Store again!
