About
Find The Chomiks is an experience available in the video game Roblox where players are tasked with finding various themed hamsters, or chomiks (Polish for "hamster"), in a series of increasingly difficult levels. The game is based on "Find the Badges" games, which are prominent on Roblox. The game became notably popularized in mid-to-late 2021 and inspired numerous memes about the game's chomiks, which are all photoshops of a single 3D-animated image of a hamster. The hamster image is taken from chomikuj.pl and is the site's mascot.
History
On July 1st, 2021, Find The Chomiks, created by a user named chomik, was added to Roblox.[1] A trailer for the game was uploaded to the Feodori YouTube channel in August shortly after (shown below).
The game tasks players with finding numerous 3D-animated chomiks across 18 custom areas, the difficulty increasing with each level. Each chomik is a photoshop of the mascot for chomikuj.pl,[2] a 3D-animated hamster (shown below).
Chomiks
As of December 2nd, 2021, there are over 400 chomiks available to collect in the game. Each chomik is listed under the "Badges" section on the game's splash page, along with each chomik's rarity. Each chomik is uniquely photoshopped and has a name, including chomiks such as "soulless chomik" (shown below, left) "Trollmik," a chomik with a Trollface (shown below, center) and Funky Chomik, a chomik based on Friday Night Funkin' (shown below, right).
Many of the chomik designs are based on memes and internet references, including "bik ghomgus," a play on Big Chungus (shown below, left) and Bully Chomik, based on Swole Doge (shown below, right).
Fandom
The game became popularized over the course of 2021. By December 2021, the game's page was visited over 4.6 million times and favorited over 27,000 times. YouTuber CentiDent Gaming posted two videos playing the game on October 9th and 13th, gaining over 266,000 and 204,000 views respectively in two months (shown below, left and right). Find The Chomix has a wiki[3] page.
