Overview

Paul Breach, also known by his usernames beautybeyondthe_eye and snapshot_eye, is an English TikToker and photographer who became a lolcow on the platform for people perceiving his content as cringeworthy. Breach originally went viral on TikTok in 2021 for singing a now-deleted song about how he would let football player Jack Grealish "breed" him. He then gained virality again in 2022 for dancing and lip dubbing to the song "Green Green Grass" by George Ezra multiple times. Throughout 2022, Breach was accused by multiple users of being "creepy" during his TikTok livestreams and allegedly taking advantage of and grooming his young audience. In June of that year, a subreddit called /r/paulbreachsnark was then created to criticize Breach and his content.

Online History

Jack Grealish Song

Paul Breach's first viral video was posted to his old TikTok account, @snapshoteye, around August 2021. In the video, Breach sings a song about his love for footballer Jack Grealish, singing, "He could breed me and I wouldn't say no." The video has since been deleted but was duetted by numerous TikTokers after it was uploaded,^[1] including user @declanmckenna on August 12th, 2021, garnering over 370,000 views in a year (shown below).

"Green Green Grass" Videos

Breach posted his first video to his current TikTok^[2] account, @beautybeyondthe_eye, on May 21st, 2022. On May 25th, he then posted a video to TikTok^[3] where he lip dubs and sings to "Green Green Grass" by George Ezra, gaining over 1.6 million views in seven months. He posted numerous videos doing the same dance to the song over the following weeks, becoming known to some as the "green green grass guy" (removed after account deletion, reupload with added fart sound effects shown below). As of late 2022, the majority of Breach's TikTok content was dance videos.

January 2023 TikTok Account Ban, Arrest Hoax

Around January 6th, 2023, following ongoing backlash and accusations towards him from other users, Breach's TikTok account @beautybeyondthe_eye was banned. He addressed the ban in a post to his Instagram Story, which was reuploaded to TikTok^[8] that day, garnering over 600,000 views in six days (shown below). He also opened a new, private TikTok^[10] account @beautybeyondtheyeheyhey.

On January 9th, TikToker^[9] @beautybeyondthe_breach posted a video of Breach getting into a police van after leaving a store, claiming he was being arrested, garnering over 100,000 views in three days (shown below, left). At the end of the video, a caption clarifies that he allegedly called the police himself for an escort out of the building, as there was a crowd surrounding the store. The video spread without the added context, leading some to believe he was arrested. Breach confirmed he was not arrested in a live stream on his new account.^[11]

Online Presence

Paul Breach was most active on his TikTok account @beautybeyondthe_eye where he has accumulated over 520,000 followers before being banned in January 2023 and his Instagram^[4] account beautybeyondthe_eye where he posts photography and has over 32,000 followers. In June 2022, the subreddit /r/paulbreachsnark^[5] was opened to criticize Breach, gaining over 13,000 members in six months.

After being banned in January 2023, Breach started a new, private TikTok account @beautybeyondtheyeheyhey.

Allegations / Controversy

Beyond frequently being perceived by many as "cringe" for his content, Paul Breach has also caused controversy for his demeanor during livestreams and has had several allegations weighed against him. On August 28th and September 19th, 2022, YouTuber Phat Memer posted a video and a sequel video discussing how he allegedly takes advantage of his fans, garnering over 200,000 and 100,000 views by December 2022 (shown below, left and right).

Paul Breach Impregnated a 16-Year-Old Girl Allegations

In August 2022, various TikTokers began accusing Breach of purportedly impregnating a 16-year-old girl when he was around 27 years old. On August 14th, 2022, TikToker^[6] @absolutemelt22 posted two videos offering evidence of this, garnering over 291,000 and 288,000 views, respectively, in four months (shown below). Notably, 16 is the age of consent in the U.K., making this legal despite many TikTokers taking issue with the rumor.

Critiques From Liking Teenagers' Posts

Around October 2022, TikTokers began accusing Paul Breach of purportedly liking pictures of teenagers in bikinis on Instagram. For example, on November 28th, 2022, TikToker^[7] @snapshotbeyondthepaul posted one such video showing alleged evidence of this, gaining over 100,000 views in a month (shown below). The video includes a clip of Breach talking on a livestream, saying he liked the photos because the girl was a cancer survivor.
